Making and Dosing FECO Tinctures

FECO Scale-Up Dosing Protocol based on Patient-Reported Outcomes

This video demonstrates how to properly dilute FECO in a carrier oil for precise dosing and explains the gradual increase in dosage to avoid psychoactive effects while maximizing therapeutic benefits.

Diluting FECO for Easier Dosing:

    • Start by diluting FECO in a carrier oil like coconut oil to make dosing easier and more precise.
    • Example: Dilute 3 grams of 70% THC FECO into 30mL of coconut oil. This results in 2,100mg THC total, or 70mg THC per 1mL dropper. Each drop would contain about 3.2mg THC.

Starting Low and Slow:

    • Begin with 1 drop (approximately 3mg THC) at bedtime for 3-4 nights.
    • Gradually increase by 1 drop every other night, adjusting based on tolerance.

Managing Psychoactivity:

    • If excessive psychoactivity occurs, reduce the dose by 1-2 drops, and then slowly increase again after 1-2 days.

Switching to Milliliters:

    • Once acclimated, dosing can switch to fractions of milliliters (.25mL, .5mL, .75mL, and 1mL).
    • Example: .25mL equals about 5 drops (17.5mg THC).

Increasing Doses:

    • For symptom relief, increase the dose slowly until finding what works.
    • For direct anticancer effects, patient-reported outcomes suggest THC doses between 200-800mg per day may be effective.
    • Using the 70mg/mL FECO-coconut oil mixture, a 200mg dose would require approximately 2.85mL (2 – 1mL doses, a .75mL dose, and 2 drops)
